Forbes Hospital Hybrid OR

Forbes Regional Hospital aimed to increase and enhance their surgical services in support of the long-term goal to maximize Allegheny Health Network’s cardiovascular capabilities throughout the system. This included augmenting their capacity to treat complex trauma and vascular cases through image-directed surgery at this site.

Shell space within the Surgery Department was renovated to accommodate an 850 square foot Hybrid Operating Room, plus the associated equipment room, control room, and support service spaces. The new Hybrid OR combines interventional radiology technology with full operating room capabilities. This sophisticated technology sets the standard for best practice cardiovascular care and is integral to the Hospital’s physician recruitment goals.

 

 

Responsible for: Revit model (schematic design through permit), construction documents, life safety/code approvals, and specifications.
